Jillian & Daniel
Arizona is truly incredible. The terrain changes so drastically every couple hours of driving. From the saguaro-littered deserts of Tucson, to the rock formations of Tonto National Forest, to the red rocks of Sedona, to the elevated woodlands of Flagstaff, and all the way up to the Grand frickin Canyon. And so much more that I haven’t even seen yet. I can’t wait to live there and explore all the state has to offer.
But right now we’re focusing on one very popular part of the state - the red rocks. I picked up Jillian and Daniel in Flagstaff where I was staying and where they are NAU students, and we drove down to Sedona for the most adorable couples session. (Sidenote: it’s so funny that Sedona and Flagstaff are only about 25 miles apart, but because of the mountains, it takes at least an hour to get between them. At least the drive is one of the most scenic in the state!)
We started down at the Crescent Moon Picnic Area, where there is an open field with a generous view of Cathedral Rock in the background. Then we slowly drove up the road that leads to Crescent Moon, stopping at various lookout points for some amazing panoramic views of some of the most famous red rocks. Jillian & Daniel were perfect subjects the entire time, down for everything I asked of them, super cuddly and adorable. I mean, just look at the way they look at each other in these photos. Real life heart eyes. 😍
