I met up with Lauren and Nick at Sanctuary Cove for their engagement session just a few days before the country started going on lockdown. Good timing, eh? I’m not even sure if Sanctuary Cove is open at the moment! So glad we went when we did.
We had planned for sunset, but of course, it was one of the few cloudy days in Southern Arizona. But honestly, I’ll take clouds where I can get them! As much as I love the Arizona sun, and especially the Arizona sunsets, clouds are a photographer’s best friends. Dat even lighting tho.
Lauren and Nick are such an awesome, goofy, nerdy couple (please note that “nerdy” is a term of endearment in my book). I am photographing their wedding as well, which will be an intimate ceremony and then a board game night instead of a dance party… Um. HELL YEAH! I love dancing, but I also love board games, and I am so down with this incredible, nerd-tastic wedding day. 🤩
Their wedding was supposed to be on May 8, but is now rescheduled to September, due to the ‘rona. So we didn’t totally escape her wrath. Oh well, I’m just glad they are being smart and safe and we will have an awesome time in September when it will hopefully be a better time to gather! :)
