WHAT DO YOU KNOW, I LOVE THIS ONE, TOO! :P It was seriously a privilege to be a part of this awesome Lutheran/Sikh interfaith elopement. Kyle and Mehtab had been together a couple years and decided pretty last minute to get married! They originally weren’t going to have a photographer, but Kyle’s sister-in-law found me and gifted them some a couple hours of coverage! So kind. I love gestures like that. :)
Funny story about this one: the ceremony was at Kyle’s Lutheran church, Resurrection Lutheran in Lakeview. I was also raised Lutheran, and it just so happened that the pastor of the church (who also officiated them) had a brief stint at my own home church! It was a funny moment when I walked in and we both recognized each other. What a coincidence, eh?
We had their beautiful ceremony at Resurrection with a handful of their close family members. The ceremony incorporated both Lutheran and Sikh elements, which I thought was super awesome, especially considering it took place in a Lutheran church! Gotta love open-minded pastors. :)
Afterward, the couple and I headed to Lincoln Park for some portraits. Gotta say, the sun really came in clutch for us with a perfect sunset.
