Ugh I love this one. (I know, I say that about all of them lol.) This morning lakefront elopement in June 2019 was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen. Emily and Sarah had been together for many years and were soon having their first child together, and decided… hey, we’re committed, we’re having a kid, it’s pride month… why the heck not?! Let’s do the damn thing! So they gathered their parents, a handful of their closest friends, and their awesome pastor for this last-minute elopement on the beach. Because seriously… WHY THE HECK NOT?!
We met up at about 7am and took a few portraits of the two of them, then took photos of them with their friends as they arrived. Then they had a really nice ceremony, with a mix of Christian and Jewish elements, heartfelt readings from their friends, and adorable personal vows. (One of my favorite lines from Emily’s was, “I’m finally putting a ring on it, so everyone knows that you’re taken… BY ME.”) Of course, they smashed a glass at the end, too. Some of my favorite photos ever, not gonna lie. 😂
