We made it!
2020 is OVER. Simultaneously the longest and shortest year of my entire life, and I suspect many of yours as well. A year with some looooooow lows but also some crazy highs. A year of incredible strength and growth. Even just getting to the end of the year alive deserves a round of applause. Well done, friends. We freakin’ did it.
Before COVID hit, my life already changed a lot in 2020.
I moved across the country from Chicago, Illinois to Tucson, Arizona.
I became a bona fide desert dweller, and I couldn’t be happier. The universe really threw me a bone with that one. It knew exactly where I needed to be to get through this worldwide tragedy. Of course, it’s been incredibly hard restarting my business in an entirely new market, with a global pandemic slowing down business to boot. But the rest makes up for it. Being somewhere warm and beautiful and new, where I can enjoy the outdoors almost year-round, has been a complete game changer for my overall happiness and well-being. I’m so thankful for this amazing state, and my impeccable timing. ;)
I thought I would join in the trend of showcasing some of my favorite photos from the year. It was a slow year for business, but there were still so many amazing weddings and shoots to celebrate. I’m so grateful for each and every one of them, be it an elopement, wedding, engagement, proposal, family, styled shoot, or 2nd shooting opportunity. I’m beyond appreciative of every single person that stepped in front of my camera this year. Love you all. ❤
