St. Paul Intimate Wedding at Summit Manor | Destination Elopement Photographer

This wedding was so special to me. I knew Peter and Cassie only briefly in college, about 6 months, but they left a strong, positive impression on me forever. I haven’t seen them regularly since 2012, but they are still who I look to for an example of a healthy, loving relationship. And witnessing their wedding only reinforced my feelings about them. :’)
Due to COVID, they had to downsize their wedding by a lot, having only about 25 guests. However, they were able to keep the venue, Summit Manor in St. Paul, for their ceremony, which is lucky because they really loved the vibe of the place, and especially the giant tree on the lawn. (Side note: they told me that with the big tree and the forest green color theme, they were going for ~Rivendell vibes~ for the wedding… LOTR nerds are my dream clients. 😍) It also looked so incredible at the beginning of this gorgeous Midwest fall! They then had a super fun Airbnb backyard reception, complete with a pool, hot tub, and lawn games. Not to mention some amazing catering!
Peter and Cassie are both fantastic writers (as well as their officiant, Matt, another beloved friend of mine and theirs from college). Safe to say there was not a dry eye (including mine) in the house as they read their personal vows to each other. They didn’t share their vows with each other at all before the ceremony, and yet they both mentioned the fact that Cassie loves extra sauce on her pizza. 😭 Soulmates!!!
At the reception, there were multiple speeches from their best friends that made me tear up yet again. Let’s just say, Peter and Cassidy are amazing human beings, and I feel SO lucky to have had the opportunity to help tell their story in this way. ❤ Love you two!
