I mean… you can’t go wrong with a couple that requests to run into a flock of pigeons on their wedding day, am I right?! I love this Chicago elopement from back in 2018. Jeremy and Elizabeth had been together for a while and decided pretty spur-of-the-moment to elope at city hall! And luckily I was available to photograph it! I’m so happy I did, because these two exemplify my favorite type of people. Totally weird, unafraid to look a little crazy, and unwilling to be anyone but themselves. Heck. Yes.
We met up at city hall where they did a little fake “proposal” outside, then had the quick ceremony. We took some photos downtown, before heading to The Empty Bottle in Ukrainian Village, where they met. The bar was closed to the public when we got there, but they let us in to take some photos!
I believe an elopement doesn’t have to be in the mountains to be an adventure or to be special and beautiful. This one proves that. Chicago elopements will always be special to me. But boy, am I excited to be photographing elopements in the gorgeous Arizona landscape now! :)
